Legendary black metal band Mayhem will descend upon North America and Australia from late 2024 – early 2025 to celebrate 40 years of the band. With a history that needs no introduction, filled with arson, murder, cannibalism and raw black metal sounds, the 40th Anniversary Mayhem Tour promises to be a spectacle for fans with Mayhem promising to unload a career’s worth of archival photos and video on their audiences.

Mayhem has promised to showcase rare and archival footage, giving fans an exclusive look into their four-decade journey. This behind-the-scenes material is a treasure trove for fans who have long followed the band’s history, including forgotten performances, iconic photos, and unseen moments from their chaotic career. In many ways, this footage will humanize the band, offering glimpses of their experiences behind the cold, corpse-painted image they’ve long maintained.
The setlist will span Mayhem’s entire career—from their early, groundbreaking Deathcrush EP (1987) to their more recent albums like Daemon (2019). The band’s ability to tap into their vast catalog will make for an unpredictable and dynamic performance, blending classics with lesser-played tracks that long-time fans will appreciate. No two shows will feel the same, and attendees can expect a full exploration of Mayhem’s musical evolution.
