Helm, Lussuria, Âmes Sanglantes Live in Montréal

Blue Skies Turn Black presents London, England’s HELM, NYC’s Lussuria and local beast Âmes Sanglantes & Property Violator live in Montréal on April 24th, 2026. Both Jim Mroz of Lussuria and Pierre-Marc of Ames Sanglantes hail from the Small Sado-Masochistic Family thats known as Hospital Productions. Along with the founder of Hospital Productions, Dominick Fernow commonly known as Pruient, Jim and Pierre-Marc are all members of the esteemed “antique black metal” group Departure Chandelier.

Descend into the cellar under famous venues owed by Godspeed You! Black Emperor La Sotterenea’s underground room — known for hosting the avant-experimental, punk, noise, and abstract electronic undercurrents of Montreal’s scene. Local architect of harsh noise will tear into the room in Montréal for the first time in over 5 years. Âmes Sanglantes will deliver harsh, relentless, visceral bleeding frequencies that scrape at your eardrums, a head-on collision of digital abrasion and corporeal grit; Property Violator twists that with unpredictable bursts and metallic ruin, each moment a surprise attack on silence.

Lussuria — a seasoned industrial/ambient project by Jim Mroz, sculpting dense soundscapes of mechanical drones, looped fragments, and unsettling collage. Lussuria’s set doesn’t merely fill the space; it floods it. One of the best to do it. HELM, the London experimentalist (Luke Younger), brings abstract acoustics and layered textures informed by experimental and noise music. His work blends drones and post-industrial electronics that don’t just hit hard — they envelop. Think tectonic waves of sound that breath and pulse with subterranean life — almost alive — reworking field recordings, percussion, and feedback into a dense mesh that transforms noise into something hypnotic and monstrous in equal measure.

A long-time contributor and pivotal supporter of Discipline Mag, Matthew Samways is a vital node in the experimental underground. Now based in Montréal, his deep immersion began at sixteen when he founded Electric Voice Records (collaborating with Genesis P-Orridge, Ike Yard), later launching the Flesh Prison imprint. Few are as committed to the industrial/noise soundworld as Matthew. He releases music under the alias MITH-XX. https://mith-xx.bandcamp.com/ @mithxx.xx
