Iron Sight has shared ‘Grant Me This Eternal Gift’, a new video taken from his upcoming album Catatonic Daydreamer, due for release on 23 April 2026 via Amsterdam-based label Strange Therapy. Directed by Utku Onal, the film pairs the track’s harrowing electronics with an arresting visual language that draws on the iconography of flowers, flesh, and fragility, arriving as both an announcement and a provocation ahead of the full record’s release.

Catatonic Daydreamer will be released on vinyl, cassette, and digital on 23 April 2026 through Strange Therapy (catalogue number ST029). The album was written and produced by Isak Hansen, with photography by Thinh Truong Petrus Nguyen and mastering by Peter Peter and Peter Kyed.

The video opens with a deliberate sleight of hand. Throbbing beats accompany visuals of flowers and petals; placid, natural, almost reassuring, before the first lyric cuts through: I want to eat your soul. The electronics detonate beneath it, and from that moment the imagery begins its quiet transformation. Floral arrangements take on bodily, intimate forms; textures suggest closeness and skin; moans and screams surface and recede in the background. What initially reads as beauty reveals itself as something far more consuming.

The flower as metaphor for intimacy is not new, but Onal deploys it with precision rather than sentiment. The imagery doesn’t abandon its softness so much as allow that softness to become confronting, becoming less comfortable the more you look at it. It’s a visual approach that mirrors the track itself: something that draws you in before making the terms of entry clear.

Running through the video are two lines that expose its emotional core: I want to live forever and I don’t want to die. On their own, neither is remarkable. Delivered here, over power electronics that sound like a system straining under pressure it cannot release, they collapse the distance between devotion and desperation. This is not violence for its own sake, but passion taken to its furthest, most unguarded point. The desire to persist, to merge, to be held inside another person entirely. Salvation framed as urgency.

Prior to his association with Strange Therapy, Hansen released material on labels including Instruments of Discipline, Total Black, and Rengaine. He has performed live across festivals and venues for over a decade, most recently completing a tour through China and Japan in 2025. Beyond his solo work, he contributes as vocalist to The Empire Line, alongside Christian Stadsgaard of Damien Dubrovnik/Vanity Productions, a project that merges chaotic punk energy with experimental dance and industrial influence.
